Alvin Robert Crozier

Alvin Robert Crozier was born to Jack and Lucy on May 15, 1926 on their homestead near Hinchliffe. Alvin went to Etoimamie school and then to Manitoba to complete his grade 12.

   He married Dolly Cote on July 26, 1954 in the Preeceville United Church. Together they farmed the original homestead where they raised four children, Ron, Elaine, Dale, and Murray. Life on the farm was always busy and unpredictable but it was what Alvin loved to do. After many years they retired and moved to the current home in Preeceville in 2000.

   Over the years Alvin was involved with the Hinchcliffe Cemetery, treasurer of the Lions, played ball with the Endeavour slow pitch team until he was 80 years old. He curled in numerous league games and tournaments. In later years he enjoyed curling on T.V. Alvin was an avid Blue Jays fan.

   His greatest love was for his wife of 64 years, Dolly, his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and numerous friends. Surrounded by his loving family Alvin passed away on May 22, 2019 at his home.

   Alvin was predeceased by his parents Jack and Lucy; his sons, Ron and Murray; sisters Norma, Evelyn, Beth and Edna Mae; brother Cliff; sister in laws Hazel, Betty, Eddie; brother in laws Bill, Rudy, Jack, Dave and Dan.

   He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Dolly, his daughter Elaine (Ken), son Dale; daughter in law Dianna. 6 grandchildren Chris (Yvonne), Lisa, Justin (Tamara), Curtis, Ben and Amy; 6 great grandchildren Kayin, Lia, Carmalla, Landon, George and Eve.

Mr. Alvin Crozier of Preeceville, beloved husband of Dolly Crozier passed away on Wednesday May 22, 2019 at the age of 93 years. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday May 25 at 2:00 p.m. from Trinity United Church Preeceville. The interment will follow in the Etoimamie Valley Cemetery. Memorials in memory of Alvin my be made to Etoimamie Valley Cemetery Fund, Trinity United Church or to the Preeceville Hospital Auxiliary as gifts of rememberance .
