Bernice Barbara (Ehalt) Hueser

March 1, 1926 ~ August 18, 2017 (age 91) 91 Years Old


HUESER –     Bernice Barbara Hueser, beloved wife of the late Anthony Hueser, of the Rockford district passed away peacefully on August 18, 2017 with family by her side at the Kelvindell Lodge in Kelvington.  She was ninety one years of age.

      Bernice was born on March 1, 1926 at Humboldt, Saskatchewan to Frank and Anna (nee Ebert) Ehalt. She married Anthony William Hueser on April 25, 1950 at St. Bernard’s church in Pilger. They lived in the Pilger District where Bernice worked at the Post Office as a Telephone Operator and as a Cleaning Lady for neighbours. She later became a full time Homemaker, raising a family and helping on the farm.

     Bernice and Anthony moved to Preeceville in 1963 where Bernice enjoyed raising her family, gardening, cooking, knitting, crocheting, bird watching, and watching over her flowers. She also enjoyed going for rides with Tony to check on the crops, watch for wildlife, going on fishing trips and day trips to pick berries at Piwei River.

     Bernice will be remembered for her warm smile, caring touch, sense of humour and kindness.

     Bernice was predeceased by her husband Anthony Hueser; son in law Gary Siermachesky; Great grandson Luke Siermachesky; parents Anna and Frank Ehalt; step father Mike Becker; sister Angeline (Emil) Fleischhacker; brothers Francis and Willard Ehalt; sisters in law Ruth and Irene Ehalt; as well as brothers in law Werner Luke, Wilfred Thrienen, Lawrence Wourms, Isadore Hueser and Joseph (Gertrude) Hueser.

     Bernice will be lovingly remembered by her nine children: Grace Siermachesky, Mary (Ken) Mycock; Edwin (Valerie) Hueser; Joyce Hueser; Miles Hueser; Beatrice (Blaine) Frederick; Antoinette (Garry) Noble; Brenda Callbeck; Lionel (Heather Benson) Hueser; her thirteen grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. She will also be missed by her sister Ileana (Ken) Richardson, Lucille (Howard) Schiltz, Marilyn (Leonard) Berchiminsky, brothers Erwin Ehalt and Donald (Anita) Ehalt.; sisters in law Clara Ehalt, Christine Luke, Veronica Wourms, Clara Thrienen, and Rita Hueser, and brothers in law Jerome Hueser, and George (Darlene) Hueser, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

     Prayer Services were held on Monday, August 21, 2017 from the Chapel of Preeceville Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 from St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church in Sturgis with Rev. Fr. Marcin Mironiuk, O.M.I. as the Celebrant. The cross bearer was Alanna Frederick. The gift bearers were Grace Siermachesky, Beatrice Frederick, Kendra Hueser and Haley Hueser.  A tribute and words of remembrance was given by Jennifer Proctor.  Interment followed in St. Leo’s Roman Catholic Parish Cemetery in the Rockford district with Keith Siermachesky, Theresa Bakke, Tanner Frederick, Vanessa Frederick, John Noble and James Noble serving as the casket bearers.

     Arrangements were entrusted to Preeceville Funeral Home.
