Blanche (Sjuberg) See

December 24, 1927 ~ September 17, 2017 (age 89) 89 Years Old

SEE- Blanche Verna See was born at home on the Dolton family farm near Endeavour on Christmas Eve 1927 to William and Myrtle (nee Dolton) Sjuberg. She had three brothers, Cliff (deceased) (Una), Warren (Victoria) and John (Joan) and one sister, Bernice (Mel Brough deceased).  They grew up on the family farm near Endeavor. She went to Beaver Bluff and Brookview Schools. She married Harry Jacques and they moved to Flin Flon Manitoba. They had two daughters, Judith and Karen.

During 1957 she met Grant See in Williams Lake, British Columbia and they became life partners, marrying soon after, Blanche had two daughters, Judi and Karen, and Grant had one son, Chuck. They became a family of five. Blanche was a stay at home mother and raised her children with loving care. Together they built a home in Williams Lake and spent many hours traveling the province and nearby areas for site seeing, visiting and fishing in the local area. They made a yearly trek to the Preeceville area by car to visit her father and mother and family over the first 40 years of their life together. They moved home to Preeceville 20 years ago and spent many hours with family and friends She was a proud and loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother with five generations of children. She was also a mother and grandma to many other children over the years and worked as a Nanny for many working couples. She was a meticulous housekeeper and enjoyed flowers, gardening, cooking, visiting family and going fishing and traveling with family and friends.

She passed peacefully in the Preeceville Hospital on September 17, 2017 with her husband and daughter at her side after a long and difficult illness

She was loved and will be missed by her husband, Grant; daughters, Judith (John) Zaharia and Karen (Brian) Esakin; son, Chuck (Dora) See; her brothers, sister, seven grandchildren twelve great grandchildren and nine great great-grandchildren as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends both near and far.

A Funeral Service for Blanche was held on Friday, September 29, 2017  from the Etoimamie Valley Cemetery with Rev. Barbara Forsyth of Saint James Anglican Church in Endeavour officiating. The Urn Bearer was Blanche’s great-grandson, Jeremy Lockhart.

Arrangements were entrusted to Preeceville Funeral Home.
