Adele Kathleen Jaeb was born November 10, 1958, second of six children, to John and Gladys Kuzyk in Prince Albert, SK. She attended various schools as a child. Having a teacher/principal for a father meant moving from school to school, community to community, attending where her father taught. Growing up, Adele spent many summer days on her grandparent’s farm, playing and hauling toys and furniture into empty grain bins only to have the oldest cousins not so pleased as they had to make sure the bins were emptied before filling with grain. Another summer adventure, while at the farm, was to make trips to what was then called Government Beach at Candle Lake. Swimming and family picnics with cousins, aunts, and uncles along with the occasional ice cream were part of Sunday afternoons. Adele went on to have five children, becoming a stay-at-home mom and wife on the farm near Leroy before moving and settling on the farm near Preeceville.
Raising five kids meant she was a very busy and hard-working mom. Cooking, gardening, chores, driving kids to and from sports, school, community events and activities, running the family video store, and working part time jobs meant days of rest were often over due. Anyone that knew Adele would have to agree she was an incredibly hard worker and an excellent cook. She went on to work full time at Olymel (Big Sky Farms) as a breeding technician for nearly 20 years.
Adele enjoyed reading, watching game shows, playing cards and board games. Adele is survived by her mother (Gladys), siblings (Linda, Darlene, Barb, Val, and Mike) children (Carrie, Wes, Aimee, Ashlee, Marlee) and her grandchildren (Chaz, Mollie, Layla, and Cruz).
