Andy Greba

     Andy Greba of Endeavour passed away peacefully at the Norquay Health Center on March 5, 2021, at the age of 96 years. Andy was born on the family farm on January 13, 1925, to Peter and Anna (Yurkiw) Greba. He attended Lilian Public School on the farm south of Endeavour. He along with his five brothers and six sisters, helped out on the family farm. As his siblings moved on with different ventures, Andy purchased his own quarter of land, next to the homestead and continued to farm. As the farm changed hands to his brother then to his nephew, he continued to enjoy spending his time operating tractors, attending to the cattle and planting his garden of potatoes and tomatoes. He loved he farm feeling and was grateful for the life it provided.
   Andy also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and trapping. He was very knowledgeable about nature. Andy was a quieter man, but always had great stories to share with all who knew him. He enjoyed spending time with all his nephews, nieces, and great nephews and nieces. He would take them swimming, to picnics, fishing, picking rocks, and planting spruce, some was work, not all was fun. He loved spruce trees and planting them, a reminder of that is all the spruce trees on the Greba homestead as well as the ones on his quarter.
   Andy was loved and appreciated for who he was, when relatives came up to visit, they made a point of seeing him. Andy will be missed but never forgotten.
   Andy was predeceased by his parents; Peter and Anna Greba; his brothers, Tony (Katie) Greba. Joseph (Isabelle) Greba, John (Yvonne) Greba, Adam (Joyce) Greba, Ernest (Edna) Greba; his sisters, Eva (Joseph) Bryk, Emily (Walter) Jason, Gladys (Ray) Trempe, Stella (Max) Moss; brothers-in-law, Harry Wiwcharuk and George Gibbons. He is survived by his sisters; Helen (Harry) Wiwcharuk, Martha (George) Gibbons; sister-in-law; Joyce Greba, as well as many nephews, nieces and their families.
