Anne Brown was born on March 11, 1928 at Lestock, Saskatchewan. She was the second child of Steve and Elizabeth (nee Veresh) Kovacs. She moved to the Endeavour area with her parents at 3 years of age and attended Veterans School. Anne went to work at an early age doing house work and farm chores. She was also busy helping her dad at the saw mill, cutting cords of wood. She later worked at the Golden West Hotel in Preeceville.
Anne married Walter Brown on October 25, 1946. They lived and worked together on the family farm for 46 years. During this time, they had two children, Earl and Janice. Anne enjoyed baking, cooking, gardening, tending her flowers and she stayed busy with these things as well as the chores that needed to be done on the farm. Anne and Walter took in foster children and over time had 19 children come to live with them. Anne always enjoyed having the children around. After retiring, Anne was a member of the Golden Age Club in Endeavour where she was secretary and later, President. She was a member for 27 years. Anne moved to Preeceville on August 29, 1992. Anne stayed busy spending time with family and friends. She loved reciting poetry and would take part in many functions by reciting an appropriate poem. She loved attending church and would travel to Rockford and Endeavour to attend. On July 9, 2014, Anne moved to Canora where she made new friends and memories.
Anne was predeceased by her husband; Walter, mother; Elizabeth Kovacs, Father; Steve Kovacs, sister; Goldina, brothers; Steve and Ernie Kovacs.
She will be fondly remembered by her children; Earl (Delores), Janice (Bill), her grandchildren; Michelle (Brett), Tanya (Rob), Bradley, Joy (Guy), and Wendy and great-grandchildren; Lane, Cole, Chance, Mason, Madison, Heather and Paige, and her brother; Fred (Hilda).
