Annie (Barteski) Chimko

Mrs. Annie Chimko, wife of the late Harry Chimko, of Preeceville passed away on May 17, 2023. She was 105 years of age.

A graveside memorial was held on July 14, 2023, at the Checkow Cemetery, south-west of Preeceville, to celebrate her life.

Annie was born to Eva (Chornomitz) and Anton Barteski on July 12, 1917.

Annie was a hard working mother and farm wife who raised her 3 children on a small farm south west of Preeceville.  She retired into the town of Preeceville in 1981 and her focus was assisting her children and grandchildren. She was the best grandmother one could ask for. Her love and caring always filled our hearts. 

Baba was predeceased by husband, Harry Chimko; son, Mike Chimko; daughter, Olga Evans. 

She is survived by daughter, Jean Kotyk (Russel Kotyk) and grandson’s, Dale Kotyk, Dwayne Evans, Kevin Evans, Matthew Chimko and Waylon Chimko and daughter-in-law, Kit-man.
