Florence Helen Johnson (nee Lindstrom) was born the third of eight children to Anton and Alma (nee Holte) Lindstrom on October 15, 1924 in the family home near Ketchen, Saskatchewan. She attended school in the area and left home to work when she was thirteen. She met Henry Johnson and married him on February 24, 1943. She spent many years working tirelessly as wife, mother of six, housekeeper, cook and gardener on the farm south of Sturgis. She loved reading and doing puzzles.

     Florence passed away in the Canora Hospital on December 30, 2016 at the age of 93.

     Florence was predeceased by her husband Henry (February 8, 2014, son Lorne, daughter Juanita, her parents, her brothers Willard, Gordon, Melford and Richard; her sisters, Verdella (McClarty), Marion (Skogen) and sons-in-law Brian Buchan and Bernard Roberge. Florence is survived by her children, Carol (Buchan), Duane, Lois (Holmberg), Lorraine (Turberfield), her sister, Clarice (Brunet), seven grandchildren, Scott (Jennifer), Brent (Shelley), Rodney (Diane) and Alistair (Kim) Buchan, Chad (Tracey) and Blair (Dorraine) Turberfield and Katie Roberge, sixteen greatgrandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
