Mr. Frank Lamber passed away peacefully at the Invermay Health Center on April 4, 2017. He was eighty-five years of age.
Frank was born on the family farm in the Okla. district of Saskatchewan to John and Effie (nee Peshko) Lamber. Frank’s mother died when he was a young child. His father was later remarried to Josephine Bozek.
Frank grew up on the farm and attended Silver Springs School until grade nine. As a young man Frank began working out on his own. One of his first jobs was at the mine at Lynn Lake. Frank was working there when a large explosion that killed a number of the workers happened. This experience effected his nerves and him for the rest of his life. Frank worked for a number of years installing telegraph poles in British Columbia. He later worked at various other construction jobs in British Columbia and Alberta.
Frank was predeceased by his father, John; his mother, Effie; and step mother, Josephine; his brothers, Stanley, Johnny, Emil, Lawrence and Vincent; and brothers-in-law, Elmer Gunderson, and Robert Dacko. He leaves his sisters, Bernice Gunderson, Victoria Dacko, Mary (Morris) Stacheruk, Phyllis (Harvey) Schulz, and Louise (Ken) Morgan; brother, Mike (Patricia) Lamber as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
A graveside service was held on April 8, 2017 at Saint Andrew Cemetery. Arrangements were entrusted to Preeceville Funeral Home.
