Gailene Pasiechnik Obituary

Gailene passed away peacefully at the Preeceville Hospital on November 19, 2023, after her brief but courageous battle with Leukemia

Gailene was born in Imperial Saskatchewan. She was the eldest daughter of the late Glenn and Doreen Sivertson.

Throughout her childhood she moved to many communities and three provinces with her parents and siblings.  In 1980 she moved with her parents to Rockford, SK, where she met the love of her life.  Delmar and Gailene were married February 27, 1982. They cattle farmed and raised their family there until they build a new home in Preeceville. With her love of golf and to be close to the water Delmar and Gailene decided to build their retirement home at Crystal Lake after a very successful career as the Executive Director of the Mackenzie Society.

Gailene took pride doing crafts and loved to bake with her grandchildren.  She cherished her retirement time wintering at their home is Arizona. Gailene was also an avid curler and won the prestigious title of Natural Ice Ladies Curling Champion. This paled in comparison to her unwavering faith and the love she had for her family and friends.

Gailene is survived by her loving husband of 41 years Delmar, sons Blair, Rory, (Ammie), and daughter Ashley, and (Gage)as well as several nieces, nephews. The light of her life were her grandchildren, Aly and Adian.  Siblings, Wanda (James), Brent (Lori) and Naomi (Corey).

A Family Graveside Service was held at the Rockford Community Cemetery to honour Gailene's life. Memorial donations in memory of Gailene may be made to Mackenzie Society as gifts of remembrance. Arrangements were entrusted to Preeceville Funeral Home.
