Georgia Laraine was born on December 3, 1942, to George and Alice Wolczuk in Prince George, B.C.
In 1961, she married Olaf Johnson who was a Saskatchewan boy, building bridges in B.C. In 1962 they moved back to Endeavour, Saskatchewan where they farmed and then operated a greenhouse and nursery.
Georgia loved travelling, camping, crafts, baking, reading, visiting, family, friends and plants. If it could grow, be made, be read or chat, Georgia would be involved. She was someone in constant motion.
In old age, diabetic issues and the loss of sight crept into her daily life, she still remained in motion as much as possible.
Georgia overcame a fear of flying as she traveled to visit relatives in Mexico, B.C, Prince Edward Island, California and South Dakota. When her sight declined, she got a reader and listened to audio books.
Georgia missed Olaf dearly after he passed on and as she has joined him the joy she feels should be a testament to the joy she brought us all through out her life.
Georgia is predeceased in death by her husband Olaf; her sister, Sue; her parents, George and Alice; her twin daughter, Deborah and her twin grandsons, Rylan and Matthew.
Georgia is survived by her sons, Kim and wife Maureen, Alfred, Eric and wife Kim and daughter, Thea. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Robyn (Jascha), Dan (Tabitha), Alexander, Landen, Connor (Catherine), Jamie (Madison), Sam (Steven), Alex (Shannon); brothers, Ron, Terry (Kathy), Tim and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
