Guido M. Paligan was born on September 11, 1967 at Tabuk, Kalinga, Philippines to Eliza and Amado Paligan. He attended his elementary education at Dilag Tabuk, Kalinga and finished his high school and Industrial Technology at Conner, Apayao, Philippines.

He and his family arrived in Canada in August of 2011.

Guido has been a part of the Olymel family for more than 7 years, working in the OSFS Finishing facilities. He was a very hard worker with incredible dedication. According to his co-workers, he was the strongest man in the workplace. They loved to call him “Commander Guido”.

He was a loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend, who always put others before himself. His personality was full of joy and humor. In the family he will always be remembered as our stand-up comedian.

Guido is survived by his wife Freda; chhildren, Sean, Willen, Dwight, Dhexy, and Christina; his mother, siblings, nephews, nieces, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

He is predeceased by his father Amado Paligan.

Visitation for family and friends was held on March 21, 2019 from the Chapel of Preeceville Funeral Home.

The Funeral Services for Guido Paligan were held on March 22, 2019 from the Chapel of Preeceville Funeral Home with Father Michal Pajak, OMI officiating. 

Memorials in Memory of Guido may be made towards a Trust Fund set up for his children Sean, Willen, Dwight, Dhexy and Christina.
