The family of the late Jenny Hydamaka are saddened to announce her passing on July 13, 2016 , in Saskatoon, Sk
Funeral Service for the late Jenny Hydamaka of Saskatoon formally of Sturgis, beloved wife of the late Mike Hydamaka, will be held on Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. from the Chapel of Preeceville Funeral Home, Preeceville Sk.
Interment will follow in the Sturgis Community Cemetery, Sturgis Sk.
Jennie Hydamaka was born northeast of Sturgis on April 8, 1918. She grew up on a farm NE of Canora and attended Brena School. In October 25, 1941 she married Mike Hydamaka at Holy Trinity Church in Canora. They farmed in the Stenen district where they raised 2 children Marianne and Wayne. They retired from farming in 1978 to Sturgis where they built a new home. They were very active in the Church, Legion and READ Club. Her favourite activities were bowling, quilt making, and playing cards. In April 2012 Jennie took up residence in Saskatoon at the Ilarion. The family is eternally grateful for the exceptional care she received during this time. She was predeceased by her parents Sam and Anna Trembach, husband Mike Hydamaka, and her siblings Jessie (Bill) Shewchuk, Doris (Joe) Gogal, Pauline (Peter) Guspodoryk, Joe (Kay) Trembach, John (Ann) Trembach. She is survived by her daughter Marianne (Orville) Pritchard, son Wayne (Karen) Hydamaka. Grandchildren Tracy (Dave) Schaefer, Monty (Michelle) Pritchard, Roxanne (Dwayne) Biever, Dustin Hydamaka (fiancé Justine Bratberg)). Great grandchildren Michael and Ryan Schaefer and Jenna and Haylie Biever. Also survived by 2 sisters- in- law Ann Trembach and Gladys Hydamaka as well as many nieces and nephews
