August 26, 1983 - July 26, 2017
It is with broken hearts that we, the family of Jeremy Erwin Ager, announce his sudden passing.
Jeremy Erwin Ager, 33, of Calgary passed away on July 26, 2017. He was born August 26, 1983, in Regina, Saskatchewan, to Ralph and Lynn Ager. He attended and graduated from Preeceville School in 2001.
He was very mechanical and always enjoyed taking things apart and putting them back together, even from a young age. This was evident when his father hired to him build wagons at the local John Deere when we has 13, and later again when he graduated from the College of Engineering at the University of Saskatchewan in 2005 with a degree in Electrical Engineering.
While in university, Jeremy met his future wife, Angie, whom he dated for 6 years before they married on July 11, 2009.
He later attained his Professional Engineer status and worked for many years as an engineer in the oil fields in Northern Alberta and the United States, for the companies Haliburton, Apex, and Hess. While working for Apex, he was able to go to Bahrain (in the Middle East) to work for a month, which he was so excited to do. He also started his own consulting firm, Ager Consulting.
Jeremy and Angie both loved to travel, and have been to many places around the world.
He was a loving husband, dad, son, brother, and friend who always put others before himself. He was always smiling and the life of the party, making others smile with a story or joke for every occasion. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, playing guitar, brewing beer and spending time with his family and friends when he wasn’t travelling across the world with his wife, Angie.
Jeremy is survived by his loving wife of 8 years, Angie Ager; his mother and father, Ralph and Lynn Ager; his son Hudson, his sister, Jennifer Ager-Croke (husband Shane; children Mason, Carter, Kohen, Ethan, Sadie); his brother, Braeden (girlfriend Ashley); mother and father-in-law, Barb and Gord Debler; and sister-in-law, Pam (son Logan). He is also survived by his grandmothers, Rose Ager and Mary Heagy, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
He is predeceased by his grandparents Robert (Bob) Ager, and Erwin and Emma Heagy.
Funeral Services were held on Tuesday, August 1, 2017 from Trinity United Church in Preeceville with Rev. Miles Russell officiating. Tributes and words of remembrance were given by Ryley Boyle, Braeden Ager and Ralph Ager.
