Mr. John Greba beloved husband of the late Yvonne Greba, of Preeceville, passed away on June 9, 2017 at the Regina General Hospital.

John was born on August 2, 1927 to Peter and Anna (nee Yurkiw) Greba in the Endeavour District. John moved to Saskatoon in the early 1960s where he met and married Yvonne Taylor. John worked as a Steel Fabricator at West Cab Doors and Great West Steel in Saskatoon. He later worked at Eaton’s and the Army and Navy Veterans Club also in Saskatoon. John and Yvonne moved back to Preeceville in the mid-1990s. They resided together in Preeceville until Yvonne’s passing in September of 2009.

John has been described as a man with excellent mechanical abilities. In his leisure time, John enjoyed watching sports such as baseball and hockey. He also enjoyed fishing, especially with his brother Andy, and gardening.

John was predeceased by his parents Peter and Anna, his wife Yvonne, his brothers and sisters, Tony Greba, Emily Jason, Eva Bryck, Adam Greba, Ernie Greba, Gladys Tremp and Joe Greba.

Left to mourn his passing are his sons, Grant Greba and Kirk (Tracey) Greba; granddaughter, Emma; sisters, Stella Moss, Helen Wiwcharuk and Martha Gibbons; his brother, Andy Greba and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
