It is with great sadness that the family of Ken Agar, beloved father of Darby Agar and Dana Agar, of Stenen and formerly of Kelowna, announce his passing on Monday, November 17, 2025. He was 80 years of age.
As per Ken's wishes, a service will not be held.
Kenneth David Agar was born on October 2, 1945 in Boissevain, MB, to Mabel (Pritchard) and Wildric Agar. He grew up on the farm with his sister, Gerry Froome, and brothers, Doug and Glenn. Ken attended the University of North Dakota, were he received an Education Degree. He was employed in various field including teaching, as well as being a business owner, and being the Director of Northern Affairs with Manitoba Government. He enjoyed golfing, wood working, and stayed busy tinkering. He liked the challenge of making things work. He also valued his time with his family and volunteered as a coach for minor hockey and baseball.
He is predeceased by his parents, Mabel & Bill Agar and brother Glenn Agar. He will be lovingly remembered by his two sons, Darby (Pamela), and Dana (Jennifer) and his grandchildren, Eva, Gage, Anika, and Mitchell Agar.
Memorial donations in memory of Ken may be made Ronald McDonald House, Saskatchewan (https://www.ronaldmcdonaldhousesk.ca/donate/) as gifts of remembrance.
