The family of Louise Stroeder, loving wife of the late Alfred Stroeder, of Lintlaw, sadly announce her passing on March 7, 2026. She was 95 years of age.
Louise (Housden) Stroeder was born on August 20, 1930, to Fredrick and Katherine (Kraus) Housden in the Daylesford area. She was the 2nd of five children. Louise met Alfred and they were married on November 24, 1953. They had three children, Barbara, Ronald and Holly.
Barb married Darrell Biccum. They have one daughter, Cindy (Jason) Piche and they have two children, Dominique and CJ. Jason passed away on December 23, 2016.
Ron married Eileen Lowe. They have twin boys, Dereck (Lilian) and Donavan (Amanda). Dereck and Lillian have two boys, Leon and Geno. Donavan and Amanda have a girl, Claire. Eileen passed away on August 7, 2002. Ron married Judy Wells on July 1, 2006.
Holly married Daryl Dolph and they have two boys, Corey (Miranda) and Arin. Corey and Miranda have two girls, Arya and Eleanor. Daryl passed away on August 19, 2020. Holly married Barry Lindholm on August 9, 2008.
Melissa Bohlken was not a biological child but she was part of the family since she was an infant. Melissa married Troy Lockie and they have a girl, Bailey and a boy, Ty.
A Prayer Service was held on March 12, 2026, from St. Theresa’s Roman Catholic Church in Lintlaw with Fr. Jerome Ogunleye as celebrant. Funeral Mass was celebrated on March 13, 2026, from the Lintlaw Recreation Centre. The Cross Bearer was Lorretta Yakimoski. Elsie Peters played the organ for the hymns “I Will Follow”, “How Great Thou Art”, “May Flights of Angels Lead You” and “Amazing Grace”. Cindy Piche shared special memories of her grandma.
Interment followed at the St. Theresa’s Roman Catholic Church Parish Cemetery, with Derek Stroeder, Donavan Stroeder, Corey Dolph, Arin Dolph, Melissa Lockie and Cindy Piche serving as casketbearers.
