Michael Scebenski Obituary

A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at the Etomamie Valley Cemetery with Rev. Miles Russell of the Trinity United Church officiating.

Michael was born on December 15, 1961 at Preeceville, Saskatchewan.  He grew up on a farm near Preeceville and attended school in Sturgis Saskatchewan.

While growing up in the Preeceville area, Michael had numerous jobs before he moved to Ontario, where he taught Heavy Equipment Operating at an Ottawa College.  He later started his own excavating company, building roads in Ottawa along with numerous other jobs, that he operated for many years, until his passing.

Michael’s son, Clayton, was born on June 21, 2004.  Clayton was Michael’s pride and joy.

When Michael wasn’t working, he could be found at the lake doing what he loved most; fishing and camping. Michael’s other interests were playing cards and spending time with family and friends.  Michael was known for his kind heart, always there to lend a helping hand to those that needed it and he always had a smile for you. Michael will be forever remembered and sadly missed by all who knew him.

Michael was predeceased by his parents, Henry and Pat Scebenski; Grandparents, Metro and Annie Scebenski and Mike and Betty Mikenas; Aunt, Mary Lasko.  He is survived by his son, Clayton Scebenski; Brothers, Darcy (Trudy) Scebenski, Robert (Bonnie) Scebenski; sister, Juanita (Michael) Scebenski; aunts and uncles, Nettie (Bill) Kokura, Mervin (Pearl) Scebenski, Rose (Gene) Olenick, Jack (Shelly) Scebenski, Frances Baker, Johnny Mikenas, Diane Mikenas, Larraine Mikenas, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
