Mrs Pauline Yaremchuk, beloved wife of the late Andrew Yaremchuk, passed away at the Preeceville Long Term Care Center on January 17, 2017. She was ninety years of age.
Pauline was born in the Brookview School District, eleven miles north of Sturgis. Her parents were George and Nettie Stratechuk.
Pauline attended Brookview School. Andrew and Pauline were married in 1946 in Endeavour. They purchased a farm in Endeavour. While Andrew was away working, Pauline looked after their children and the farm. They later moved into Endeavour.
Pauline cooked for numerous weddings, anniversaries and church dinners. She was a member of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church until the day of her passing. She was also a member of the Ukrainian Hall.
Pauline loved gardening, feeding birds, crossword puzzles and watching sports and crime shows. Her main passion was cooking, especially for her family. Pauline had many friends and kept the coffee pot turned on. Pauline passed away on January 18, 2017 after enduring the effects of a severe stroke on November 30, 2016.
Pauline is survived by her son Mike (Betty), daughter JoAnn (Mike), daughter Aldine (Mark), six grandchildren and 6.5 great grandchildren. This brave, strong lady is very sadly missed.
Funeral Services for Pauline were held on January 23, 2017 from All Saints Ukrainian Catholic Church in Endeavour, with Father Michael Faryna presiding.The casket bearers were: Justin Robinson, Darren Rutherford, Glenn Yaremchuk, Matt Yaremchuk, Lance Yaremchuk and Logan Yaremchuk. Honorary casket bearers included family and friends.
Memorial Donations can be made to the All Saints Ukrainian Catholic Church or to the Preeceville Hospital Auxillary as gifts of Remembrance. Arrangements were entrusted to Preeceville Funeral Home.
