KOWALYK - Ronald “Ronnie” Kowalyk beloved husband of Molly Kowalyk of Preeceville.
It is with great sadness and broken hearts we announce the passing of Ronnie at the Regina General Hospital on January 28, 2020 at the age of 67.
Ronnie was born on December 15, 1952 to George and Mary Kowalyk of Hazel Dell. He attended school in Hazel Dell and later High School in Sturgis.
On August 30, 1975, Ronnie and Molly Tulik were united in marriage at the Ukrainian Catholic Church in Preeceville.
Ronnie worked as a parts person most of his life, starting at Reliance Garage and Standard Motors in Preeceville and later driving to Yorkton to work at York Auto Parts Supply for 17 years. As he got older he found it harder to travel and started working at Case in Preeceville for six years. His health started to deteriorate and he retired at the age of 66.
He loved to go hunting, fishing, quadding and golfing. He loved to spend as much time as possible with his nieces and nephews who were very special to him.
Ronnie is survived by his wife, Molly of 45 years; his sisters, Lillian and Sonia; brother, Walter (Kerri); mother-in-law Stella Tulik; sister-in-law’s Deb (Brian) Myhr, Sharon (Nolan) Thompson, Cindy (Dave) Vanthuyne; nieces and nephews he was extremely close to Nathan Myhr and daughter Hayley; Tara (Nolan) Brooks and daughter Dakota; Pamela Myhr; Taylor (Justin) Jakubowski; Alexandra and Thomas Vanthuyne; Angie (Mike) Smith and daughter Sloan, Shawna Kowalyk.
He is predeceased by nephews, Adam Vanthuyne and Kristopher Kowalyk.

Funeral Liturgy was celebrated on Saturday, February 1, 2020 from Holy Transfiguration Ukrainian Catholic Church in Preeceville with Very Rev. Fr. Joakim Rac as the Celebrant. The Epistle was read by Taylor Jakubowski. Alexandra Vanthuyne served as the cross bearer. A tribute and words of remembrance was given by Tara Brooks and Pamela Myhr. Interment followed in the Holy Transfiguration Parish Cemetery in Preeceville with Brian Myhr serving as the urnbearer. Condolences can be sent to the family at preecevillefuneralhome.com Memorials in memory of Ronnie may be made to the Holy Transfiguration Ukrainian Catholic Church or to a charity of one’s choice as gifts of remembrance.
