Rose Pozniak was born to Wesley and Dora (Gulka) Pasiechnik on July 12, 1934, in the Preeceville district. Rose was married to the late Wasyl Pozniak and lived in the Preeceville and Buchanan area through her life. She had five children, Larry (Peggy), Lorraine (Kelly) Brick, Betty, Lawrence, Linda (Trevor) Masko. She met Robert Antonio in 1992 and they resided on the acreage near Preeceville.
She worked for many years in restaurants and bakeries, along with being a cook on road construction. She had many passions that include planting a huge garden, crocheting many afghan blankets, playing bingo, playing kaiser, feeding the birds, playing with the cat, and generally enjoying being outside. Mom always enjoyed the visitors that would stop in for a quick chat or a cup of coffee.
She will be remembered by her kids, grandchildren, family, and friends for her quick wit, delicious food, great company, and most of all her scuffles.
She was predeceased by her husband, Wasyl; daughter, Betty; parents, Wesley and Dora Pasiechnik; brothers, Steve and Paul Pasiechnik; sisters, Elaine Holowachuk and Anne Maximnuk.
She is survived by her partner, Robert Antonio; her children, Larry (Peggy), Lorraine (Kelly) Brick, Lawrence, Linda (Trevor) Masko; grandchildren, Tracy (Gary) Pawliw, Aaron (Shannon) Brick, Nicole (Shane) Patient, Greg (Carly) Pozniak, Grant (Emma) Pozniak, Tyler Masko, and Jessica Masko; great-grandchildren, Reece and Ashton Pawliw, Tanner and Blaire Patient, Natalie and Jocelyn Pozniak, and Zoey Pozniak; sisters, Stella Moroz, Carolyn Stefanyshyn, and Pauline Kaminski.
