Sheldon Charles Nelson was born on July 14, 1959. He passed away peacefully on November 26, 2020 at the age of 61. Sheldon was born to Hilding & Ida Nelson of Invermay Saskatchewan.
Sheldon, at a very early age, met the love of his life Theresa (Radawetz), who he called TC. They were married July 15, 1978. Their love lasted 42 years here on earth, and will go on for an eternity. Sheldon loved his TC and would have done anything for her. He cared for Theresa until he couldn't anymore. His heart was broken! They had Carrie in 1977 and later welcomed another bundle of joy, Corey in 1981. Sheldon had many jobs over the years but the one we all remember him doing was the Saskatchewan Wheat Pool and CPS. Most of Sheldon's career was that of a buyer of grain and ag products. He retired from CPS in the summer of 2019. Sheldon had a love for all thing outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. Sheldon loved his grandchildren and whenever they came around you could see his eyes light up. The kids called Sheldon their DODO because they couldn't say Gedo when they were young. He was always there to take them along, whether it be to feed the cows or go hunting. Sheldon never wasted a day and was always available to help or teach them in any way he could. He didn't know the word “no” and this flowed over with his friends as well. Sheldon was a man of few words. He never spoke harshly about anyone. He was part of the Preeceville Wildlife Club and served on the Preeceville Town Council for a few years where he was a huge advocate for bringing the handi-bus to the town. In his younger years he could be found at dances, ball diamonds and the curling rink to name a few. We all know he loved to socialize over drinks. His smile and jolly nature lit up a room. If you were lucky enough to have been his friend, you know how he touched your heart and he will always be with you. In the end, his heart was bigger than his body could handle!! We will love you forever and ever. This is not goodbye for we all know that you will be watching over us everyday, guiding us to always try to be better people then we were the day before.
He will be remembered as someone who would always be there for others and he put others before himself right till the end.
He will be greatly mourned by his wife, Theresa; his daughter, Carrie and her children Jason and Kaitlyn; his son, Corey, wife Denity and their children Quirin, Hunter & Jaxon; his mother, Ida of Kelvington, SK; his brothers and sisters; Miles (Evelyn) of Grenfell, SK, Nels (Anne) of Preeceville, SK, Dervin (Shirley) of Preeceville, SK, Kevin (Juanita) of Dutchess, AB, Janice (Laryl) of Kelvington, Luella (Troy) of Saskatoon. He will also be missed by his numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
