Born on November 29, 1928 to Mike and Mary (nee Czornobay) Buchinski he was the eldest of seven children. Stanley was a hard working person from a very young age and had a strong work ethic throughout his life. He worked operating and repairing heavy equipment with Pederson construction in Swift Current in the 1950s, with Czornobay construction in Endeavour in the 1960s, and in the 1970s logging for John Tataryn logging also of Endeavour. However the majority of his life he enjoyed being a farmer - cattle and grain farming. Stanley also drove a school bus for the Sturgis School unit for 28 years.
He married Doreen Schutte on October 23, 1953 and they went on to be married for 60 years and had three children. Linda (Ken), Bev and Larry (Coreen); four granddaughters Amanda (Anthony), Rene (Tyson), Janine (Lynden) and Alanna; and four great grandchildren Kaylee, Everett, Skylar and Hazel.
Stanley was a sincere, kind, loving, and supportive Dad and Grandpa. His knowledge and guidance was the foundation of his family.
Stanley was multitalented and could repair or paint almost anything. His favourite hobbies included hunting, fishing, vegetable gardening, playing cribbage plus assisting Larry and Coreen with Champion Auctions Ltd (which is now Champion Assets Ltd).
Stanley was predeceased by his parents, his wife Doreen, brothers Victor, Nester, Orest, Jack, Tommy and son-in-law Ken. He is survived by immediate family, companion (Elnor Murrison), sister (Jean Belknap) and numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
We mourn our loss and encourage any and all who knew Dad/Grandpa to remember the beauty he brought to this world. We will embrace the endless cherished memories.
Forever missed,
Forever treasured,
Loving you always,
Forgetting you never.
