Verna Steciuk passed away November 12, 2022 at Preeceville Long term Care at the age of 96.   

Verna was born at Endeavour Saskatchewan on July 2, 1926 to John and Helen Wiwcharuk who imigrated from the area of Bukovina, Ukraine in 1901 and 1903.  The second youngest of eight children.  She received her education at the Chermosz School in Usherville.

Verna got married to Steve Steciuk on March 14, 1948 and they started building their future in the Endeavour District. 

In 1976 they decided to sell the family farm and move into Preeceville, Sask. 

Although retired Verna kept very busy with gardening and keeping the root cellar and freezers stocked with homemade food.

Verna was predeceased by her husband Steve 2000, brothers George, Alex, David, Eli and Mike; sisters Domka and Mary. She is survived by a son David (Bev), daughter LeeAnne (Lonnie) and a granddaughter Mallory (Jesse).

She will be greatly missed.
