In 1959, Bill met Victoria Petras and they were married on October 12, 1963 in Canora United Church. The newlyweds settled on Bill’s family farm. Bill and Victoria raised three children: Donna, Treena and David. They made a living growing beautiful crops and raising nice cattle. Bill continued to farm and play in bands until his retirement years. Bill loved spending time with family, friends and neighbors. He was kind, generous, and always willing to lend a helping hand. He enjoyed playing cards, dancing, and attending community events. Bill liked to attend farm auctions, because it was a good opportunity to socialize.
